Welcome to Head Peach Company! We’re Jason and Julie Head, and together with our children—Eleanor, John Clay, and Margaret—we are the family behind the orchard and farm stand. What started as a simple idea has grown into a place where our family works side by side, grows food, makes memories, and shares the joy of the farm with our community.
Jason grew up on his family’s farm, raising cattle and tobacco, and learning from a young age the value of hard work, stewardship, and dedication. After we got married, Jason continued building his farming career and eventually became the farm manager at Long Vue Farms, a role he has proudly held for over 15 years.
Julie grew up riding horses and helping on her family’s small farm. She started her career as a kindergarten teacher, where she loved helping young learners grow. As our family grew, Julie chose to step away from the classroom and become a stay-at-home mom, dedicating her time to raising our children and helping build Head Peach Company.
In January 2021, with a shared dream and a willingness to try something new, we planted our first 100 peach trees. Those early rows marked the beginning of Head Peach Company—a small orchard with big hopes for the future.
As the orchard flourished, so did our vision. In 2023, we planted 400 more peach trees and expanded into apple trees, blackberries, blueberries, pumpkins, fresh cut flowers, and popcorn. What began as a humble peach orchard quickly grew into a diverse, family-run farm stand.
Today, Head Peach Company is located on Jason’s family farm, where generations of farming knowledge meet new ideas. We are raising our three children in the heart of the orchard, teaching them the importance of hard work, caring for the land, and growing food with purpose.
Balancing two farm lives and parenting three kids isn’t always easy, but it’s at the heart of what makes Head Peach Company special. Every season reminds us that good things take time—and the very best things are grown together.
